LA was my one proper solo stop with no family, no connections to aid me in my travels. I was excited to do at least one leg of my travels by myself and only at the the 11th hour did I realise how kinda scary it was. But to really top it off was the dramas right before and at the beginning as A: my phone (on which I relied everything on) was going absolutely haywire and B: my accommodation was up in the air. *Sweats* Travelling alone did also mean that there were some dodgy moments (including getting hollered at while walking solo when it was growing dark - eep) which probably made me more stressed than I should've been. So after my last SF night and 1st night in LA spent frantically trying to find better accommodation, a lovely Airbnb host named Chona came to the rescue. SF vibes had officially taken over and going with Airbnb really was one of the best decisions I made.
The moment I laid eyes the streets of Hollywood Boulevard that Sunday afternoon, I felt lifted. There really is some kind of magic in the air there and it really made it click inside me that I was really there and I could finally relax. The excitement and the glamourous history is really alive, and in typical H'wood style, I even passed a premiere that night of Once Upon a Time (which explains the celeb sighting in the photos!). I was finally in Hollywood. And am so glad to have met you.
