prettying up the workspace

19.4.14

I felt like a bit of a refresher was in order around my workspace. I do a lot of work at home so it's important to me to keep it looking kinda pretty and inspiring. One of my favourite ways to do this is to line surfaces with a pretty cloth and I love anything of the plaid/check/tartan family. I inherited it from my mother. I've always loved it even if it's "on trend" at the moment (don't you just hate that phrase? ick). I picked a black and white gingham sheet since I thought it had that nice balance of practical and being aesthetically pleasing at the same time.

It's the easter weekend, so 'scuse The Lord of the Rings in the background *grins*.

I think you know if you've changed if your favourite flowers change. Revolutionary odometer, I know, but there is something very pure about having a favourite flower, that if it changes I think you've changed, or maybe more accurately, you've found yourself. Which is kinda how I feel, finally. (FYI they are now daisies :) )

There are a few more things I'm thinking of adding but like almost everything else, all things always change and evolve, and I'm so in love with the gingham I couldn't wait to post it up..
